History
Locally owned and operated by Ross Powell (“Rossgo”) Watermania was formed through his love of the water and personal enjoyment in water activities. The thrill of seeing others getting the enjoyment that he, his family, and friends have had makes this vocation the most pleasurable available.

Being the only company in Rotorua that does this type of activity is true testament to the high personal standards that he sets himself. The boat has gone through rigorous safety checks to meet New Zealand Maritime Regulations while still having the luxury of an exclusive ski boat.
Rossgo's knowledge of the Rotorua lakes goes back to the age of 10 when he was racing yachts on Lake Rotorua and being in the local Sea Scouts. From then on he has had only short intervals of being without a boat. Very rarely do you get a day that is boating weather that he isn't on the water…. especially early mornings.

His knowledge of the Rotorua area gives an added advantage in advising you of where the best water for your activity will be as well as having the “local knowledge weather eye” watching for conditions that can help in keeping you as safe as possible.

All you need is your enthusiasm! We provide everything else. wetsuits, life jackets, water skis, wakeboards and a kneeboard plus the awesome banana boat and water biscuit. It doesn't get easier. Picked up, pampered and put back, all you do is get wet with "WATERMANIA" action on one of Rotorua's fantastic lakes.

You don't have to be experienced, with over 35 years of ski experience, our competent driver will teach you to feel the exhilaration of sliding across the surface at a speed that is safe and harmless.
For those that are above novice, you can cut and curve until your arms are weak. The wake that is put out by the Malibu Response LXI is regarded as one of the best ski boats in the world. Tell us your optimum ski speed and the cruise control takes over so you are guaranteed to achieve the perfection you want.

For those with children, we do have a water biscuit or banana boat for the young ones to get the water ski bug. Watch out Mums and Dad's, the kids will want to come back!

Fun the whole family can enjoy together. I'd recommend a few hours out with Ross for anyone with some adventurous family members. Ross has got it all covered, something for everyone. That is the most fun I've had anywhere near a lake in a long time. I never knew wakeboarding could be so much fun. Lake Okareka is such a beautiful place to play. Lake Rotorua allow 1 hour $295.00 (for 2 people)
For those who are pushed for time or want to circumnavigate the island, test your fitness and see if you can ski around Mokoia Island! Let us drop you back to have a scenic flight with Volcanic Air Safaris or dine with Lakeland Queen Cruises. Bookings are essential for both.
Lake Okareka allow 1.5 hours $395.00 (up to 4 people)
Crystal clean waters and easy jetty access makes this a very popular location.
Lake Tikitapu (Blue Lake)allow 1.5 hours $395.00 (up to 4 people)
No jetty access here but you do get fantastic conditions, ideal for those that want to start from the beach.
Lake Tarawera allow 3 hours $595.00 (up to 5 people)
No fear of hitting the bottom here, deep pure mountain water, directly below scenic Mount Tarawera, miles of water to play on then take a soak at hot water beach or dine out at "The Landing Café"
Lake Rotoiti allow 3 hours $595.00 (up to 5 people)
Have your fun on the water, take a cruise below the cliffs and then soak in the relaxation of the Manupirua natural hot pools.
